I'M NEW - WHAT TO EXPECT!
From babies to high school, our team wants to give your family an excellent experience in a safe and secure environment. The safety of your children are our top priority, which is why all of our small group leaders and volunteers have passed a CORI background check and are trained in CPR and First Aid.
When you arrive, you’ll go through the RiverKids Entrance to the check-in station where you can tell us a little about your family. On our check-in form we’ll ask things like:
- any allergies or medical condition your children may have
- all children in your family
- basic contact information
Prior to your first visit, you can pre-register your family and save few minutes when checking-in for the first time.
You and your children will get security tags with a matching code. If for any reason we need to reach you during the service, we will text you. This security tag is also what you’ll use to pick up your child after the service.
For safety reasons, we will only release children to the parent/guardian/caregiver who presents the matching security tag, if lost, our check-in team can re-print one for you or you can provide our team member with a photo ID.
Contacting You if Needed:
We want to make sure both children and parents feel safe when children are in our care. If you are needed, we will contact you By text - please make sure the primary cell number is on the child’s registration and have your cell phone on you so that you will feel it vibrate.
Children may cry when being left by parents. We understand and anticipate this, especially when a child moves to a new classroom or is visiting our church. In most cases, crying stops shortly after drop off. In the event that a child continues to cry, we will notify the parent.
Returning Families Self Check-In:
Prior to your arrival, pre-check your family on the CHURCH CENTER APP (details below) where you will get a QR Code. When you arrive, you’ll go through the RiverKids entrance and head to the self check-in station, scan your code to print security tags for you and your children. You may also enter your phone number to check in.
Place the tag on the child and hold on to your security tag for secure pick up. Only the child’s grown up is allowed to pick up children.
