I'M NEW     |     What to expect!

From babies to high school, our team wants to give your family an excellent experience in a safe and secure environment. The safety of your children are our top priority, which is why all of our small group leaders and volunteers have passed a CORI background check and are trained in CPR and First Aid.

When you arrive, you’ll go through the RiverKids entrance (look for the orange banner! 😊) and head to the check-in station where you can tell us a little about your family to help us serve you well. On our check-in form we’ll ask things like:

  • any allergies or medical condition your children may have
  • all children in your family
  • basic contact information

We will also take your child’s temperature. You can help us plan by pre-registering your family prior to arriving on the Church Center app (link to new page w. check in video). This will save a few minutes when checking-in for the first time.

You and your children will get security tags with a matching code. If for any reason we need to reach you during the service, you’ll see your child’s code on the screen. This security tag is also what you’ll use to pick up your child after the service.

For safety reasons, we will only release children to the parent/guardian/caregiver who presents the matching security tag, if lost, our check-in team can re-print one for you or you can provide our team member with a photo ID.

Contacting You if Needed:

We want to make sure both children and parents feel safe and comfortable when children are in our care. If you are needed, we will contact you in one of two ways:

  1. By text - please make sure the primary cell number is on the child’s registration and remember to have your cell phone on you so that you will feel it vibrate
  2. On screen – our tech team will be asked to display your child’s security number on the corner of the screens in the sanctuary

Children may cry when being left by parents. We understand and anticipate this, especially when a child moves to a new classroom or is visiting our church. In most cases, crying stops shortly after drop off. In the event that a child continues to cry, we will notify the parent.

Returning Families Self Check-In:

Prior to your arrival, pre-check your family on the Church Center app where you will get a QR Code. When you arrive, you’ll go through the RiverKids entrance and head to the self check-in station, scan your code to print security tags for you and your children.  Place the tag on the child and hold on to your security tag for secure pick up. Only the child’s grown up is allowed to pick up children and security tags are required for pick up.
